 So back in May  I posted  about how slow the move of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum was taking. At the end of the post, I said, and I quote, "Fingers crossed they keep to the late opening date." Guess what still isn't open. It's pretty much the end of Summer now and they still aren't open. If you aren't rabidly following the move like I am. A few days after I posted that, they posted on Facebook about a plumbing issue that had been recently discovered which needed to be fixed. This meant another opening delay, which I could understand, get that stuff done y'know. I would rather that then open it, find out about the issue, and then close again. That was 3 months ago. No updates at all since. Not even a single post from them this entire time. I am starting to get extremely impatient about this, and i'm not alone on this either.  August 2026 has taken yet another celebrity from us. Dolly Parton died today. About two months ago while we were driving to see The Aquabats, me and my mom were talking about celebrity deaths and how she found out about them. We were specifically talking about Michael Jackson's death, and I asked her if there will ever be another death as big as MJ's. She said probably not, but there will be some that would be pretty big losses. One of the celebs she listed off was Dolly. And now two months later, it's actually happened. Dolly has died. Dolly was big on philanthropy. She especially was a strong advocate for children's literacy, through projects like her Imagination Library. While I was never apart of the program as a youngin', I truly respect her commitment. Dolly was one of the only celebrities I knew of that was almost universally loved. It's really sad that she's gone now.
