 So back in May  I posted  about how slow the move of Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum was taking. At the end of the post, I said, and I quote, "Fingers crossed they keep to the late opening date." Guess what still isn't open. It's pretty much the end of Summer now and they still aren't open. If you aren't rabidly following the move like I am. A few days after I posted that, they posted on Facebook about a plumbing issue that had been recently discovered which needed to be fixed. This meant another opening delay, which I could understand, get that stuff done y'know. I would rather that then open it, find out about the issue, and then close again. That was 3 months ago. No updates at all since. Not even a single post from them this entire time. I am starting to get extremely impatient about this, and i'm not alone on this either.  August 2026 has taken yet another celebrity from us. Dolly Parton died today. About two months ago while we were driving to see The Aquabats, me and my mom were talking about celebrity deaths and how she found out about them. We were specifically talking about Michael Jackson's death, and I asked her if there will ever be another death as big as MJ's. She said probably not, but there will be some that would be pretty big losses. One of the celebs she listed off was Dolly. And now two months later, it's actually happened. Dolly has died. Dolly was big on philanthropy. She especially was a strong advocate for children's literacy, through projects like her Imagination Library. While I was never apart of the program as a youngin', I truly respect her commitment. Dolly was one of the only celebrities I knew of that was almost universally loved. It's really sad that she's gone now.

Hello one, hello one! (I would say "hello all" but that would be disingenuous). Welcome to another episode of "My Life". Since the last CD post i've gotten a few more, so we'll get those out of the way first. Here were the first two CDs that I got after my last CD post, I got both on the 14th. On the left is Exodus by Hikaru Utada. This was their first American release, releasing on Island back in 2004. The copy I have is a copy from the BMG Direct CD club, which was a record club similar to others like the  Columbia House record club.  It's kind of an experimental album, very cool stuff, very cool album, Utada is goated. To the right of Utada is They Might Be Giants' Don't Let's Start, ON MINI CD!!! Not many singles were released on Mini CD here in the US, but they were pretty popular in Japan, being produced as late as the early 00's!  Hello! It's been a while since my last post. Here is all that happened + the CDs I got last month and all of this month's so far. So where we last left off, we were sitting in McDonald's waiting for the tow truck to come. I wrote my last blog post to pass the time. Thankfully the tow truck finally came! An Iraqi guy named Sam was our driver. He'd moved here from Texas because he has family here. He took us and our car to an auto shop. My mom called up her friend to pick us up and she took us back home. Home sweet home! Also, WE GOT A NEW CAR!! With that out of the way, here's some CDs for 'ya! They Might Be Giants - S-E-X-X-Y (Elektra - 1996) This was my first CD of June, I got it on the 4th. Getting this marked my domestically released Elektra singles collection complete! Very excited to have this one. Sensurround is one of their best hidden-gem tracks. I prefer the Power Rangers version in all honesty but i'm still glad to have it on CD in any form. Super...
