Korean Snacks on "Malcolm In The Middle"


A few days ago I was watching Malcolm In The Middle. Very good show. It was the episode where Lois gets fired and the family is broke. During the episode, one of Malcom's classmates finds out and holds a food drive for them. I would also assume that one of Malcolm's classmates is either Korean or just loves Asian snacks, because someone gave the family some Korean snacks!

 I've been trying to identify what snacks these are and what company produced them. Google translated them, the box in front translates to "Strawberry Pie". Pretty generic name so Googling yields few results of relevance. The box on its side (in front of Malcolm) isn't as clear and it just translates to "Berry". Also pretty generic. I would ask on Reddit but I don't think a Subreddit for identifying Korean snacks in TV shows exist.

The Wiggles Concert That Time Forgot

  Do you ever just forget that you did something one time, then see a picture or two a few years later and react like "Wait, that happened?" That's basically what happened to me. Back in the day, whenever the live production of a show I liked came to town, i'd probably go see it. Yo Gabba Gabba, Sesame Street, Thomas the tank engine, even Sid the effin' Science Kid! But there was one group I saw more times than any of these. While not nesecarily the "live production of a kids show" like the others, but I knew them mostly from TV. The Janken Game: Am I Too Late?

 So basically I recently learned of an old Japanese rock paper scissors arcade game by Data East. Romanized it's called "Janken Game: Acchi Muite Hoi!". I would love to play it but I wouldn't have a clue how to play it with a standard game controller/keyboard lmao So basically this video of the game got recommended to a bunch of people around September/October. Suprisingly I don't think I ever saw it during that time. I usually get all the randomly recommended stuff too but not this one. During that time it also went viral on Twitter. I believe it reached its peak a month or two ago since that's when most of the fan content about this game was put out. I had seen it around a bit but I didn't learn more about it until recently. It seems that for the most part, the Janken Game hype train has died down. Better late than never I guess?
