2026 Chuck E Cheese Closures

 



Back in 2024, I began a list of all the Chuck E Cheese stores that closed that year in my notes app. Did the same for 2025, and now i'm doing the same for this year. Now that I have a blog, I can share my list with the public. Since FOUR STORES closed on the same day, I thought this would be a good time to begin my list. This list will be updated periodically if more stores close.


Salisbury, MD (2300 N Salisbury Blvd) (Opened August 6, 2004. Closed April 4, 2026.)

Abilene, TX (4310 Buffalo Gap Rd) (Opened November 8, 2005. Closed April 4, 2026.)

Olathe, KS (15225 W 134th St) (Opened November 4, 2002. Closed April 4, 2026.)

Topeka, KS (2215 SW Wanamaker Rd) (Opened November 26, 1990. Closed April 4, 2026.)

The Wiggles Concert That Time Forgot

  Do you ever just forget that you did something one time, then see a picture or two a few years later and react like "Wait, that happened?" That's basically what happened to me. Back in the day, whenever the live production of a show I liked came to town, i'd probably go see it. Yo Gabba Gabba, Sesame Street, Thomas the tank engine, even Sid the effin' Science Kid! But there was one group I saw more times than any of these. While not nesecarily the "live production of a kids show" like the others, but I knew them mostly from TV. I'm of course talking about The Wiggles.   I first came across the Wiggles back when PBS Kids Sprout was airing their TV shows back in the day (Which I talked about in a previous blog post). The Janken Game: Am I Too Late?

 So basically I recently learned of an old Japanese rock paper scissors arcade game by Data East. Romanized it's called "Janken Game: Acchi Muite Hoi!". I would love to play it but I wouldn't have a clue how to play it with a standard game controller/keyboard lmao So basically this video of the game got recommended to a bunch of people around September/October. Suprisingly I don't think I ever saw it during that time. I usually get all the randomly recommended stuff too but not this one. During that time it also went viral on Twitter. I believe it reached its peak a month or two ago since that's when most of the fan content about this game was put out. I had seen it around a bit but I didn't learn more about it until recently. It seems that for the most part, the Janken Game hype train has died down. Better late than never I guess?
